About Us

Soft Season was born out of northern winters and the urge to slow down. Our candles are inspired by Scandinavian homes with clean lines, quiet colours, and the small rituals that make a dark evening feel warm again.

Soft Season began during a time when my life was in constant motion. I split my time between Turku, Helsinki, Tallinn, and Toronto for work, and I spent most of my days leading teams, thinking about product strategy, and helping build fast-growing tech companies. It’s work I love, but it also means my mind rarely slows down.

At some point I realised I needed small rituals that create calm no matter where I am; hotel rooms, ferries between Finland and Estonia, my home in Helsinki, or a cabin in Lapland. For me, candles were always part of that: a way to mark the end of a chaotic workday, to soften a cold Nordic evening, or to make a space feel like home even if I’m only there for a night.

Each blend is designed around a mood and a moment: a first cup of coffee before the city wakes, sheets still warm from sleep, windows cracked open to let in jasmine on a May night. Light one, take a breath, and let the room soften.

Soft Season is built around that feeling.
